TYPO3Camp Rhein-Ruhr

The first TYPO3Camp Rhein-Ruhr was held on November 10-11, 2012 at the Unperfekthaus in Essen. With over 100 participants and 37 sessions, it was a great success!
The camp started with warm-up events on November 9, including a tour of the coal mine shaft "Zeche Zollverein" to give everyone a bit of history about the region, because this was the first TYPO3 Bar Camp to be held in the state of North Rhine-Westfalia. This was followed by a streetcar tour through Essen and then a slot-car racing tournament at
Gapp's Event-Location.
Coal mine shaft "Zeche Zollverein" Everyone enjoyed the open atmosphere of the Unperfekthaus and the freedom of Bar Camp planning. It was the first Bar Camp for at least 30% of the attendees and for 80% their first TYPO3 event! Session planning took longer than expected as there were many volunteers to hold sessions. The session themes ranged from project management with Kanban to the future of the TYPO3 Community, as well as many technical TYPO3 sessions.
TYPO3tour on the highest escalator in Germany Thanks to everyone who attended, especially those who held sessions and helped out in other ways. We all enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and hope to see everyone again at other TYPO3 events and usergroups - and maybe for a TYPO3 Camp Rhein-Ruhr 2013!
