A relationship always consists of exactly two partners. One is the primary partner, the other is the secondary partner. The type of a relationship defines what kind of relationships the two partners have. Let's say, for instance, that one partner is the member of the other, like a member of a club. Well in this case, the relationship type you want to have is 'has member'. You can see already from the formulation of the type that there is a 'direction' to the relationship. Club Y 'has member' Mr. Miller and not the other way round. So Club Y is the primary partner and Mr. Miller is the secondary partner.</label>

<label index="lapsed_date.details">This is the date when the relationship has ceased to exist. For the type 'Has Member' for instance, this would be the date when the member left the club.</label>

<label index="lapsed_reason.details">Could be used for instance to enter the reason why a member left a club.</label>
