  1. Have you included the second static template?

  2. Three more JS are loaded in the frontend (also check the path to the javascripts)?

  3. No another JS libraries are working on the same page (e.g. mootools, jquery, etc...)?

  4. Tested with the default html template for newsticker (some html id's and structures are needed)?

Q: How can I change the CSS?

If you use the newsticker function, a default CSS is added to the output. Check the css, copy the content and paste it in your CSS. Try to make your changes

Did you forget to include the static template? Some of the settings are missed.
