Install the extension and select “create directory” checkbox. Then hit “make updates”.

This directory is needed by images.

Set the plugin to the include static (from extension) on your root template.

Add the plugin to your page. You will find it in section Content elements -> Plug-Ins.

Don't forget to save the page after add the plugin to activate the dependencies fields !
