Chapter 7. Known Issues

  1. This extension requires TYPO3 v4.0 or higher.

  1. Illustration 80: LIST View Settings Tab of the WEC SMS Plugin

Refer to Illustration 80. On the WEC Sermon Management System plugin, plugin Options, LIST View Settings tab, the Group By and Detail fields allow table names to be selected that can cause output errors. The user can only select valid combinations of group and detail table names. See Illustration 18 for a list of records that may be chosen in the Group By field. Currently Sermons are the only records that can be chosen for Detail.

  1. It is possible to orphan SMS Resource records by deleting or hiding SMS Resource Type records. If a resource is assigned a type that is currently hidden or deleted, then the resource displays no fields when edited. To fix this, the SMS Resource Type record needs to be marked not deleted in the database, or unhidden.

  2. We have found that if you are entering a date in the Back End of TYPO3 from a computer running the a Windows operating system previous to Vista, that the date could be displayed one day off. This is due to a system bug in Windows OS, stemming from the fact that it can not store more than one set of DST rules. As a result, past dates that you enter into the SMS may be calculated one hour off. There are two workarounds to this issue. One is you can enter dates from a Linux based system or Windows Vista. The second is that you can enter a date one day ahead in order to display the correct date. Neither of these solutions are elegant, but until Microsoft can release a patch for their Operating System this is the best we can suggest. Please check our developer or community forums for up to date information.

  3. This extension can cause a high load on the server if page caching or caching within the extension is turned off. The intricate relationships between all the records can cause high processing times and server load. It is recommended that you cache pages which display a large number of records and related records.

  4. When changing the Resource Upload Path from the extension's configuration page, it is possible to orphan all existing resource files. If this path needs to be changed, make sure you have access to the existing files and can move them to the new location, or you will have to delete them from the backend and re-upload.Additionally, once the path is changed you need to update paths in TypoScript to reflect these changes.
