The Extension ‘TIMTAB embedded video’ is made for easily embedding videos from the most famous video portals like YouTube, Google Video and loads of others into a blog post. Additionally a corresponding link to the video on the particular video portal page can be generated automatically, if demanded. The link text is also configurable individually. Furthermore a fixed prefix for the link text can be determined. The videos can be integrated easily by using the built-in WYSIWYG editor like htmlarea.

I wrote this extension after I finished the timtab_importer_wp extension, because as I wrote the importer I see the very nice cutom tags in the imported blog post. This custom tags are the work of Jovelstefan (http://www.jovelstefan.de/embedded-video/) who wrote this functionality for wordpress. I have used some parts of his code, thanks for it.

Since version 1.1.0 you can use the keyword local to embed any supported videos from your own webserver.
