Once the extension is installed and properly configured, the user typically has nothing special to do to use it. He simply uploads his files to the protected directory under fileadmin and then make normal file links to them in content elements. The normal links will be automatically substituted to call the pushfile script at the time of rendering of the page in the frontend.

If the display of a license agreement is activated, a license text file (by default named “license.txt”) should be placed in the same folder than the files to which the license applies.

If download logging is activated, make sure the log file is writable by the user running PHP on the server. The log file should also be placed in a directory not reachable from the web to protect its content.
