The Extension renders existing Content-Elements (tt_content) into a Multi-Column-Layout. With that it is possible, to arrange Content in different Columns within one Page an Page-Column. Due to the Templates, rendering in CSS-styled DIV-Container is as possible as outputting into a Table-Tag or anything else.
