jQuery is a new type of JavaScript library (by John Resig). It is not a huge, bloated framework promising to best in AJAX – nor is it just a set of needlessly complex enhancements. This extension provide jQuery (and the plugin: interface) itself and a PHP library to easily implement it from PHP.
This extension is only useful for PHP developers!
jQuery is a third party library (independent from TYPO3) and uses it's own license.
jQuery is licensed under the GPL-license (see http://jquery.com).
