This tutorial will help you to set up a complete and working web server, ready for a full Typo3 installation. You don't have to be a Unix and command line freak, but a little experience would sure help. If you don't feel comfortable with Mac OS X, make sure to carefully follow this tutorial, and do not skip any section. You will learn how to install and configure a web server, including all the third-party programs and libraries needed to host and use a CMS like Typo3. You will also become familiar with the inner functionalities of your machine, which should be useful for the daily use of your Macintosh operating system.
