Qualification: modification of already existing extensions

Goal: Make the "Table of Contents" rendering usable again

Description

Currently, when clicking onto an item at a Table of Contents, you will get transported to a very long page. However, the browser won't jump to the correct section of the page, because anchors are not used in the generation of the TOC.

The goal of this task is to fix that. The table of contents should generate links with anchors. You will have to modify the ter_doc_html extension for that.

Graphical release status display

Qualification: TYPO3 extension programming, design

Goal: Minor TYPO3 releases should happen every two to three months. It would be nice to have a display showing the current step of the release process.

Description

The release process will work as follows:

The core-team mailinglist will be polled whether the amount of fixed bugs suffice for a new release. The polling phase will always begin one week before the end of the month (e.g. 24th August start polling for September release) and ends at the last day of the month. Majority vote counts.

There will be a RC which will be available 1 week before every final release.

So the steps will be like:

Poll (1 week)
end of month
RC (1 week)
new version
at least 4 weeks without any poll

These should be a graphical display of the current release process in general. The currently active phase should be highlighted in some way.

Maintain New Login Box Extension

Qualification: Extension development

Goal: Maintain the newloginbox extension

Description

Ingmar Schlecht (the current maintainer of newloginbox) is looking for a new maintainer for this extension. If you have already programmed some good quality extensions and you know the coding guidelines by heart, this job is for you. It will not take much time maintaining this extension, as it is pretty feature-complete. Maybe there are people who have ideas for improvements, you should be available then and incorporate these changes.
