TYPO3 is developed by a lot of individual people and companies, each have their own specific reason for doing this, but together they form a powerful community which drives the development forward.
No single company owns or develops TYPO3 solely, the development is organized and governed by the the TYPO3 Association, which is a non-profit and non-commercial organisation.
The TYPO3 community needs people to help managing the ever increasing amount of information and need for support and new development. No matter what capabilities you have there is something to contribute. Newbees have a fresh and unspoiled approach to TYPO3 and you can help us to do better by pointing out better ways to help people into TYPO3! Experienced TYPO3 developers can make new extensions and help document the system. In between there are thousands of other things to do and don't let your imagination stop you. Take initiative and let us help you get started.

- Commit yourself to paying donations for each project you finish for money with TYPO3.
