A long history in a short time
On a warm autumn evening in 1998, a group of folks met to talk and pray about forming a church in the center of one of the nations fastest growing cities. Little did they realize the phenomenon that was about to result as Stonebriar Community Church came into being. Within six months, an average of 1,500 people were attending worship services each Sunday at the churchs temporary location, Collin County Community College in Frisco.

In February of 2001, Stonebriar opened the doors of its new 100,000-square-foot building on Legendary Drive, and almost immediately the 1,500-seat auditorium was filled at both Sunday morning services. In its fifth year, the church added a third Sunday morning worship service to meet the needs of the growing congregation. More than growth, however, the Stonebriar family values the lasting impact within the community as people are drawn to its expression of a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ.
